How-To: Set up Ameritas Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Zuub streamlines access to Ameritas patient benefit breakdowns by securely navigating Ameritas' two-factor authentication (2FA). Follow this step-by-step guide to learn more.

Set up Ameritas Two-Factor: Step-by-Step

  1. Inform Zuub you’d like to set up the Ameritas 2FA solution by reaching out to your designated Customer Success Manager. You can also email Zuub Support at support@zuub.com, or chat with us via the bottom right hand corner of your Zuub portal.
  2. Zuub will assign you a phone number and email address that you will use to register a new user.
  3. Navigate to Ameritas Portal.
  4. Under the 'Business Accounts' tab select 'Provider Sign In.'

  5. Under the 'first-time users' section, select 'Register Now'.

  6. On the 'new user registration' page, please do the following:


    1. In the '1. Contact Information' section, input the following Zuub provided credentials:
      1. First Name: Insurance
      2. Last Name: Admin
      3. Email Address: Zuub-provided email address

    2. In the '2. Choose your User ID and Password' section, input the following Zuub provided credentials:On the 'new user registration' view:
      1. User ID: Zuub-provided user ID
      2. Password: Add the Zuub-provided password
      3. Re-enter password: Zuub-provided email address
      4. Reminder Phrase: Strong Password

    3. In the '3. Account Verification' section, input the following:
      1. Question 1: Select Any from the list
      2. Answer 1: Zuub
      3. Question 2: Select Any from the list
      4. Answer 2: Zuub
  7. Click the 'Create Account' button.
  8. You will need to log out and log back in with the new user ID and password.
  9. Please reach out to Zuub support or your dedicated Customer Success Manager and let them know you have completed the Amerias 2FA setup for you location(s). The Zuub team will need the following to complete setup:
    1. The Source Code from your EOP. You can call provider relations to help obtain this code.
    2. Your Tax ID number.
    3. Your office phone number.
  10. Once the Zuub team receives confirmation the account has been created and the details listed above, our team will finish configuring your account and ensure Ameritas verifications are going through correctly. We will follow up once QA is completed.
