How-To: Set up BCBS of Alabama Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Set up BCBS of Alabama 2FA: Step-by-Step

  1. Let Zuub know you’d like to set up a BCBS of Alabama (https://providers.bcbsal.org/portal/web/pa/login) 2FA solution by reaching out to your designated Customer Success Manager. You can also email Zuub Support at support@zuub.com, or chat with us via your Zuub portal.
  2. Zuub will assign you an email address and phone number that needs to be added as a user in your existing BCBS of Alabama account. This can be completed by your account administrator at providers.bcbsal.org/portal/web/pa/login.
  3. Log in to ProviderAccess and click the “Users” link in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.


  4. Click on Create User

  5. Follow prompts to enter information:
    1. Username: Will be sent to you from Zuub 
    2. Password: Will be set by you, please provide to us afterwards
    3. First Name: Zuub
    4. Last Name: Insurance
    5. Email Address: Will be sent to you from Zuub 
    6. Phone Number: Will be sent to you from Zuub 
    7. Select Access: Patient - eligibility and benefits
  6. Hit “Next” at the bottom of the screen once all the above information is filled out.
  7. Business Tab: select your office and then select next
  8. Providers Tab: please choose all the providers in office
  9. Permissions - Patient - eligibility and benefits
  10. Create User

  11. Once the user has been created, please let us know by emailing support@zuub.com or your Customer Success Manager. Please include the password you created in the email. Our team will configure your account to ensure Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama verifications are going through correctly, and follow up with you once the QA is complete.
