      How-To: Update National Provider Identifier (NPI) for Metlife

      In accordance with Federal HIPAA regulations governing electronic transactions, Metlife is now requiring all customers to ensure their NPI is up-to-date.

      To facilitate this process, Metlife has provided you with three convenient methods to submit your NPI information:
      1. Metdental.com: When accessing the secure section of our website, you will be prompted to update your NPI. Please follow the instructions provided to complete this process seamlessly.

      2. NPI Submission Form: Complete the NPI Submission Form. Once you've filled out the form, please fax or mail it back to Metlife using the following contact details:

      3. Electronic Claim via Practice Management Software: If you prefer to submit your NPI information through your Practice Management Software, please ensure to include it in your electronic claims. This will help us keep your records current and compliant with the regulations.
