Prepare Your Practice for Insurance Verification in 2026

To ensure your January workflows run without interruption, please complete these steps:

1. Confirm Payer Accounts Requiring Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Work with your Zuub Customer Success Manager to identify and configure any payer portal accounts that now require two-factor authentication. This prevents verification interruptions.

2. Review & Update Your In-Network Payers in Zuub

Ensure your in-network payer list in Zuub is current to receive the most accurate benefit breakdowns.

  • Where to update:

    • Navigate to Settings > Insurance Verification > My Insurance Payers.

    • Or, send your updated payer list directly to your Support team or Customer Success Manager.

3. Update Insurance Plans in Your Practice Management Software (PMS)

Confirm your PMS contains complete, standardized payer information for the new year. This is critical for accurate data matching.

  • Format to confirm:

    • Insurance Company Name: (e.g., DeltaPPO2025)

    • Group Name: Employer Name Max/DED - Co Ins (Ex: Zuub 2500/75 - 100/80/80)

  • Refer to our detailed Help Center article for specific PMS update steps

4. Adjust Your Autoverification Schedule

Before your holiday break, update your autoverification setting to 1 day in advance. Maintain this setting for the first two weeks of January.

  • Where to update: Go to Settings > Insurance Verification > General Settings.

  • Why this is important: Insurance companies update 2026 benefits throughout December and early January. Running verifications the day before an appointment ensures you pull the most current and accurate information available.

Important January 2026 Reminder

  • Monitor Verification Dates: At the start of the year, check the “Zuub Verified Last” date to ensure it reflects a date in 2026. If it does not, simply rerun the verification to refresh the results with the new year's data.

  • Expect Potential Gaps: During the year-end transition, payer portals may have delays. If a breakdown appears incomplete, please call the payer directly to confirm benefits for the most reliable information.

Taking these steps now will help your team avoid delays and ensure a smooth, accurate start to 2026. If you need assistance, our support team is here to help.
