API: Creating Delta Dental Insurance Company Payer Portal Credentials

Zuub streamlines access to Delta Dental Insurance Company (DDIC) patient benefit breakdowns by securely navigating two-factor authentication (2FA). Follow this step-by-step guide to create Zuub specific DDIC credentials.

Pre-Setup Notes

We recommend creating Zuub specific logins for the below main Delta Dental sites (Delta Dental, DDIC, and Delta Dental Toolkit):

  • Delta Dental (deltadental.com) - Eligibility and benefits for the below states are pulled via their own state payer portals, which can be accessed utilizing deltadental.com logins. One Zuub specific Delta Dental credential is required. However, to ensure optimal performance we recommend creating an additional Zuub specific login for any of the states that are a top payer for an office.

This guide provides step by step instructions on how to create DDDIC logins.There are two ways to set up DD of MA credentials. Instructions are provided for each:

  • Using an Existing Account
    • Note: Only Admin users can add new users. If there is no option to add users, a new account will need to be registered.
  • Registering a New Account

Set up DDIC Using an Existing Account: Step-by-Step

  1. Navigate to the DDIC portal. 
  2. Click 'Login' on the top right-hand side of the navigation.
  3. Sign into DDIC using your existing login credentials. 
  4. Under 'Provider Tools', select 'User Management' Note: Admin permissions are needed in order to add new users via this method.

  5. Click 'Get verification code.'

  6. Retrieve the 2FA verification code sent to the email address on file. Agree to Terms and Conditions and Click 'Complete verification.'

  7. Within 'Manage Users', select 'Add new user.'

  8. Complete the following and click 'Save new user':
    1. First name: Insurance
    2. Last name: Admin
    3. Email address: Zuub generated email address
    4. Select 'Make admin'

  9. Sign out of the DDIC account.
  10. Navigate to the email address and click the link to complete the registration

  11. Finalize the portal registration by confirming the following information: 
    1. Email address: Zuub generated email address
    2. First name: Insurance
    3. Last name: Admin
  12. Click 'Submit.'

    1. Username: 
    2. Password: 
    3. Password Confirmation: 
    4. Challenge Question: 
    5. Challenge Answer: 
    6. Agree to the T&C box

Set up DDIC by Registering a New Account: Step-by-Step

  1. Navigate to the DDIC portal. 
  2. Click 'Login' on the top right-hand side of the navigation.
  3. Click ‘Create an account.’

  4. Under ‘User Type’, select ‘Provider’ then click ‘Next.’

  5. Complete the required information and click 'Next':
    1. First Name: Insurance
    2. Last Name: Admin
    3. Tax ID: 
    4. Business City: 
    5. Zip: 
    6. Provider First Name: 
    7. Provider Last name: 
    8. License Number: 
    9. License State:

  6. Complete the following information and click 'Register': 
    1. Username: 
    2. Password: 
    3. Confirm Password: 
    4. E-mail Address: Zuub generated email address
    5. Confirm E-mail: Zuub generated email address
    6. Challenge Question: 
    7. Challenge Answer: 
    8. Agree to the Terms and Conditions

  7. Click 'Continue.'
  8. Navigate to the DDIC portal and login using the credentials just created. 
  9. Select ‘Enroll.’

  10. Re-enter the Zuub generated email address that you used in the account registration process and click ‘Confirm.’

  11. Click ‘Send me an email.’

  12.  Navigate to the email address and retrieve the code. Enter it and click 'Continue.'

  13. Enter the Authorization Code’ provided from DDIC. This code is typically emailed over to the email address DDIC has on file for the office, but may also be sent via mail or phone. Click ‘Submit.’
