API: Creating Delta Dental Payer Portal Credentials

Zuub streamlines access to Delta Dental patient benefit breakdowns by securely navigating two-factor authentication (2FA). Follow this step-by-step guide to create Zuub specific Delta Dental credentials.

Pre-Setup Notes

We recommend creating Zuub specific logins for the below main Delta Dental sites (Delta Dental, DDIC, and Delta Dental Toolkit):

  • Delta Dental (deltadental.com) - Eligibility and benefits for the below states are pulled via their own state payer portals, which can be accessed utilizing deltadental.com logins. One Zuub specific Delta Dental credential is required. However, to ensure optimal performance we recommend creating an additional Zuub specific login for any of the states that are a top payer for an office.

This guide provides step by step instructions on how to create Delta Dental logins. Please note that there are separate guides for the below sites:

Once the account is created, terms and conditions need to be accepted within certain state sites. Step by step instructions are provided. 


Set up Delta Dental: Step-by-Step

  1. Navigate to the Delta Dental portal. 
  2. Under Sign in/Register, select 'Create an account'

  3. Select 'I am either a dentist or associated with a dentist' and click 'Next.'

  4. Fill out the required information and click 'Next.' For first name and last name, put the below:
    1. First Name: Insurance
    2. Last Name: Admin

  5. Select the correct location and click 'Next' (Note: Next to the location there should be an email address. Make sure the email address is one the office has access to, as a code will be sent to that email address when completing registration.)

  6. Add the required information and click 'Register user':
    1. Username: 
    2. Password: 
    3. Confirm password: 
    4. Email: Zuub generated email address
    5. Mobile phone number: Zuub generated phone number
    6. Add a challenge question and answer

  7. Click 'Proceed to Sign In'

  8. Sign in using the login just created.

  9. Retrieve and enter the code sent to the office’s email address on file (email address from step 5). Click 'Submit Code.' (This code is typically 8 characters long and consists of a combination of letters and numbers.)

  10. Under the email, click 'Verify my email.'

  11. Input the code sent to the email address and click 'Submit code.'

  12. Under Email, click 'Enroll in MFA.'

  13. Select 'Email' for how you'd like to receive one last MFA code. Click 'send code'

  14. Enter the code in the box and select 'submit code'

  15. Scroll through Terms and Conditions and click 'agree'

  16. Certain Delta Dental sites require terms and conditions and communication preferences to be set. Step by step instructions on how to complete this are here. Once these are set up, account creation is complete!
